With so much to explore, it can be hard to know where to start. Grab your bags, throw on your favourite shopping ‘fit and check out our comprehensive guide to Queen Street Mall and the surrounding streets.

Shopping centres

QueensPlaza

QueensPlaza is the glitzy home to high-end brands and Queensland’s flagship five-storey David Jones department store. On the ground floor of QueensPlaza, you’ll find a range of renowned international luxury boutiques including Burberry, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Oroton, Dior, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Ferragamo, Balenciaga, Chanel and Gucci.

Take the escalator to the upper level to discover much-loved high-end Australian brands such as Aje, Zimmermann, Rebecca Vallance, Scanlan Theodore, Dinosaur Designs and Gorman, along with Aesop and Mecca Cosmetica.
 
Cure those shopping cravings downstairs at the circular food court with quick grab-and-go style eateries alongside more retailers including kikki.K, Victoria's Basement and T2 plus a range of beauty stores and services. Don’t forget to check out the shops along QueensPlaza’s Adelaide Street side such as Mooii and Kitten D’Amour.

Wintergarden

Wintergarden first opened in the 1920s as The Wintergarden Theatre before it was revitalised in 1981 to become the mall’s first shopping centre. This Queen Street Mall shopping mecca is where you will find local and national boutiques trading over multiple levels.

Enter Wintergarden from either Queen Street Mall or Edward Street and start shopping at retailers including Cue, Seed, Zara and Mecca Maxima. Work your way further into the shopping centre and look for, M.J. Bale, Peter Jackson, Nine West and Sheike.

Just outside the Wintergarden, stop by the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre in the stunning heritage-listed Regent Theatre for inspiration to plan your next Brisbane adventure. Friendly staff are on site seven days a week to help you with itinerary planning and tour booking. While you’re there, pop next door to admire the beautiful floral arrangements by Perrotts Florists.

Uptown

The largest of Queen Street Mall’s shopping centres at, six-levels sits Uptown, found at the George Street end of the mall. On the very top levels, you’ll find Event Cinemas and the FunHouse games arcade, along with Lincraft and Daiso. The lower two floors house a massive food court spanning across the levels, a Target department store and a Coles supermarket.

For fashion, browse popular brands including Ally Fashion, Dangerfield, Portmans, Sheike, Seafolly, Supre and Valleygirl. For footwear, step into stores such as Novo and Jo Mercer.

You’ll also find a range of fun and novelty retailers popular with visitors, including Typo for quirky stationery and gifts, MOOII for colourful Korean lifestyle products, and Pop Mart for collectible designer toys and blind box figures, making Uptown a great stop for unique gifts and souvenirs.

MacArthur Central

MacArthur Central sits within the historic MacArthur Chambers building in the heart of Queen Street Mall. On the Edward Street side, you’ll find some of Brisbane City’s most sought-after retailers, including the flagship Apple Store, alongside luxury boutiques such as Paspaley, TAG Heuer, Longines, APM Monaco and Hugo Boss.

Inside the centre, browse a two-level Big W department store and JB Hi-Fi, along with a selection of casual dining and convenience stores. A Woolworths supermarket is also located within the centre, making it a handy stop for picking up essentials while exploring The City.

Arcades

Brisbane Arcade

Brisbane Arcade is one of Queen Street Mall’s most iconic destinations. Opened in 1923, this heritage-listed arcade has long been a hub for local designers, jewellers and specialty retailers, showcasing Brisbane’s creative talent for nearly a century.

Jewellery lovers will find plenty to explore. On the street level, browse Pandora, Robert White Jewellers and Stones Diamond Ring Specialists. Upstairs on the gallery level, discover specialist jewellers including Ashley Douglas, Bradley Jewellery, Duncan Vickers Engraver, Girls Love Pearls, James Tyler Jeweller, Kimmison Jewellery and Stephen Dibb Jewellery.

The arcade is also home to a number of Brisbane designers and fashion boutiques, including Tengdahl, Sacha Drake, Maiocchi, Belle Folie Millinery and Darb Bridal Couture. While you’re there, keep an eye out for specialty stores such as The Model Shoppe, The Pen Shoppe and The Tea Centre.

Tattersall’s Arcade

Another historic precinct, Tattersall’s Arcade opened in 1926 and takes its name from the private members’ Tattersall’s Club located above. Renowned as one of The City’s oldest and most prestigious shopping precincts, this street-level arcade is home to high-end boutiques such as Longchamp, Swatch, Optiko, A.G Designer Jeweller, Canturi, and Lannah Dunn Fine Jewellery. Needing a break from shopping? Treat yourself to some cannoli and coffee at the gorgeous Italian café Marchetti, before exploring the beautiful colours pouring out of Mister Botanical.

Stores on the mall

Lucky for us, some of Australia’s favourite brands call Queen Street Mall home. Towards the Edward Street end of the mall, you’ll find R.M. Williams, Uniqlo and the stunning Louis Vuitton flagship store, alongside The Body Shop and Koko Black.

On the opposite side of the mall, near George Street you’ll find the recently opened two-storey Country Road flagship store, the Cotton On megastore, two Rebel Sport outlets, Culture Kings, City Beach and Peter Alexander.

Albert Street

Albert Street intersects the middle of Queen Street Mall. Head in the direction of Elizabeth Street to find sporting, streetwear and footwear brands at Lululemon, Lorna Jane, Hype DC and Universal Store plus JB Hi-Fi.
 
Towards the King George Square end of Albert Street, browse records and music memorabilia at Rocking Horse Records or discover natural oils and skincare at Perfect Potion.

Streets surrounding the mall

Along the Edward Street luxury shopping strip, expect to find international luxury retailers such as TAG Heuer, Hermes, Cartier, Hugo Boss and Montblanc as well as menswear boutiques Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear and Canali. You'll also spot stores by Brisbane jewellery designer Christie Nicolaides and Australian jewellery label Sarah & Sebastian. 
 
Elizabeth Street offers an eclectic range of Asian eateries, independent boutiques and streetwear stores such as Scotch & Soda, Laced, Fast Times Skateboarding and JD Sports.

Getting into The City has never been easier, with accessible and affordable public transport and plenty of parking options available at the Queen Street Mall shopping centres.
