Lakeside Lawn is a tranquil space where you can take full advantage of the area’s natural shade with a canopy of leafy trees overlooking the lake. Situated next to the parkland's main barbeque area, it is the perfect spot to picnic.
Tucked away at the top of the parkland, Sunset Glade is one of Roma Street Parkland’s most secluded areas. This hidden treasure is ideal for an afternoon picnic.
Celebration Lawn is the ultimate picnic location early morning or late afternoon, located next to cascading water walls. Ideal for families, the lawn is a great spot to kick a ball around. If you’re after something more romantic, visit the Celebration Lawn in the evening. At sundown, the water walls are lit with a range of colours, providing a gorgeous backdrop to evening picnics.
The name says it all, this picturesque area is nestled in the parkland surrounded by large palms and floral displays.

Memorial Corner is a reflective space, housing war memorials to significant conflicts in Australia's history. Plants in the area include Turkish Gallipoli Rosemary, propagated from a cutting collected at Anzac Cove by a returning digger.
There are designated licensed areas between 10am and 8pm daily at the Celebration Lawn and Lakeside Precinct in Roma Street Parkland. Please note that to consume alcohol at Roma Street Parkland within these licensed areas, you must be over 18 years of age and accompany your drinks with food.
Barbeques throughout the parkland are available on a first come, first served basis. Visitors are requested to move away to their picnic area when finished cooking to allow others to utilise the facilities.
